    Works with Steep Pitch Guardrail System (#12070) to Form Complete Residential Protection

    Use Acro’s exclusive 12075 Open-edge Guardrail Brackets on rake-edges of any pitch and eave-edges under 4/12 pitch. Commonly used in conjunction with Acro’s proven 12070 Steep-pitch Guardrail Brackets along the eave-edges from 4/12 to 16/12, to form the backbone of a complete residential guardrail system. Two sets of 2 x 4's are used with a toe board to form a continuous guardrail around the entire roof edge. This innovative full guardrail system is easy to install, move & remove without damaging shingles on any roof 16/12 pitch and under. This allows the guardrails to be put up early in the new construction process or even prior to shingle removal on a tear off; and easily moved without having to take the system down. Acro now offers a way to comply fully with OSHA’s 2011 requirements without the need of any other impeding safety equipment, Use your regular ACRO Building Systems Roof Brackets on the balance of the roof for shingle installation.

    When to Use an Open Edge Guardrail System

    An open edge guardrail system is typically used in roofing applications when there are no parapet walls or other barriers present along the roof's perimeter.
    Pitched or Sloped Roofs: Buildings with pitched or sloped roofs often lack parapet walls due to the design of the roof. In such cases, an open edge guardrail system can be installed along the roof's edge to provide fall protection for workers accessing the roof.
    New Construction: During the construction of a building with a pitched or sloped roof, an open edge guardrail system may be installed temporarily to provide fall protection for workers until permanent safety measures, such as parapet walls or permanent guardrails, are put in place.
