For use between 2 surfaces…DoubleStick Tape incorporates EternaBond’s advanced MicroSealant™ Technology with a removable siliconized release liner on each side. Designed to go between two surfaces, even two surfaces made of two or more dissimilar materials; DoubleStick creates a tight, permanent, waterproof seal. DoubleStick remains flexible to temperatures as low as -70°F making it virtually impossible to thermally shock the seal causing a leak. Using DoubleStick between two surfaces as a lap seal creates a permanent bond on a wide range of roof materials including EPDM, TPO, most PVC, CSPE/Hypalon, CPE , SBS, APP modifies, asphalt BURs, coal tar BURs, tiles, shingle, coated and non-coated aluminum and metal roofs, galvanized steel, gypsum board, wood, polyethylene, propylene, polystyrene, fiberglass, brick, concrete, masonry, OSB board, shielding membranes, etc.
Basic Use
This self sealing adhesive creates a water tight, conformable seal between two or more irregular surfaces, and/or creates a weather proof, permanent bond between 2 or more similar or dissimilar surfaces. Use as a lap seal, under the foot of an equipment curb or skylight, or roll MicroSealant™ into a bead or ball as needed.
Composition
DoubleStick Tape utilizes EternaBond’s advanced MicroSealant™ Technology, a 100% solids formulation of synthetic resins, thermoplastics, non-curing rubbers (not butyl), with a built in primer, sandwiched between two siliconized release liners.
Surface Preparation
Surface must be clean and dry. Moisture, dust, dirt, and other foreign matter should be removed. Remove oil, grease, and etc. with a suitable cleaner.
Application
Eternabond EternaPrime has been developed specifically for use with DoubleStick and all Eternabond Seal Tapes. Use EternaPrime before applying Eternabond Seal Tapes over a dirty or rusty surface. Use the EternaPrime if the application ambient temperature or roof temperature is below 40ºF. Let EternaPrime dry to a tacky consistency before applying Eternabond Seal Tapes. To apply the DoubleStick, remove the release liner on one side of the DoubleStick and apply to the surface to be protected or bonded. Remove the 2nd release liner.
