At nearly a 1/3 of the cost of most fall arrest components The HitchClip will be the ideal solution for all your fall arrest/fall restraint needs and meets all OSHA standards. The HitchClip® is a low profile anchoring unit that is designed to give the tradesman multiple anchoring options during placement. Due to its compact size (2”x11”) and lightweight (4.4ounces) the tradesman can easily transport several clips in his work belt for convenient hook-up anywhere on the roof as long as there is a sufficient framing member to attach to. No longer does a worker have to access the ridge to install his anchoring device, this can be done directly from the ladder for initial set-up and promoting 100% hook-up. This will help eliminate those transition injuries where the vast majority of falls occur. The HitchClips® progressive design also allows the tradesman to incorporate the HitchClip® Systems full line of quick connect and quick release staging accessories to help get the job done safer, quicker and on budget.
The HitchClip is installed using (6) 2-1/2” Grip-Rite screws (or equivalent) or (6) 16d galvanized framing nails to top chord of rafter. This can be done during the inspection of the roof for estimating, initial set-up for staging and tear-off, and while work is being performed. This system allows workers to install their own personal fall arrest at their convenience and easily change between devices as needed for their particular task regardless of what work zone they are in. This helps to eliminate crossing lines, hazardous clutter, and will prevent workers from anchoring to the same unit.
