The Penetrator Mobile Fall Protection by Roof Zone is the lightest mobile fall protection system available on the market that penetrates a surface to ensure minimal injury to a worker occurs. When a fall occurs, the penetrating spikes on the machine will engage and pierce into the roof, creating a safe and secure anchor system. The Penetrator is designed to be used only on low slope surfaces. This anchorage system is able to infiltrate surfaces such as PVC membranes, thermoplastic polyolefin, EPDM roofing membranes, hardboard, metal deck, built up roofs, plywood, and many other surfaces.
When used with a body harness, the maximum arresting force should be limited to 1,800 lbs. and the free-fall height should be no more than 6 feet. If set up properly, the Penetrator Mobile Fall Protection System is intended for a maximum of 3 people for a fall arrest and 2 for fall restraint (averaging no more than 310 lbs. per person). No more than 5 workers should be hook up at one time. This lightweight device can be reused after it has engaged.
The Roof Zone cart included, is meant to hold tear off debris, decking materials and other roofing materials when not in use. This cart has an 11 gauge steel tube handle, 30” wide frame, 72” overall length, 18” heavy-duty flat free tires, a dead-man brake, equipped anti-turning pin, and has a 2,000 lbs. Capacity.
