Reeves Roofing Equipment Company was founded in June 1965 by Joe S. "Jody" Reeves Sr. after years of experience in the roofing equipment industry.
Jody began working for Blackwell Burner Company in San Antonio in 1937 at the age of 13. His brother, Preston, and their friend, Curtis Blackwell, also worked there. A welder and fabricator, Jody built his first kettle for the Blackwell company about 1946.
When he started his own company in 1965, Jody manufactured horse trailers and other farm and ranch equipment. Within a year he was joined by Preston and Curtis, who brought additional finances and experience for expanding into other product areas. The three men's goal: providing only the best equipment and service to their growing network of distributors.
Because of these men and the reputation they built, Reeves Roofing Equipment Company is known today for providing quality equipment and service that are second to none.
