Zipseal Residential Flashing - 0.375"

This is a patented one piece Electrical Mast Flashing closed with stainless steel clips designed specifically for shake or shingle roofing. Nothing to "spin" and no plates to screw on or pipe clamps to tighten. Made out of a durable EPDM rubber, the electrical mast flashing has a life expectancy of 20 years if used within a temperature range of -58 degrees F to 239 degrees F. Galvanized mesh reinforced base is strong and rigid. 

Easy installation!

If you are installing the Residential Zipseal flashing which fits pipes up to 5-3/8", the mfg. suggests using the factory cutting marks if your roof slope is 15° to 45° (3 on 12 to 12 on 12). For all other slopes, a special cut will be required and installation by a roofing professional is recommended. 

NOTE: The suggestion above is based on product testing with a pipe with 2-3/8" outside diameter extending through an adjustable test roof with plywood decking. Actual results may vary for your particular application. Consult a roofing professional for assistance.

1. Apply shingles up to lower edge of pipe
2. Cut flashing opening to appropriate size. If using the factory cutting marks, try the smallest cutting mark first that is designated for your pipe's outside diameter. Depending on the slope of your roof, a custom cut in front of or behind the factory marks may be needed. If necessary, consult a roofing professional
3. Wrap flashing around pipe and close by crimping on stainless clips
4. Apply sealant to underside of base and secure base with roofing nails
5. Apply sealant around the top of the flashing where it meets the pipe, and along the joiner seam
6. Finish applying shingles over sides and upper portion of flashing base

NOTE: Properly installed, the lower approximately 1/3 of base will be on top of the shingles and the upper approximately 2/3 of base will be covered by shingles.
