The easy-to-use 12048 Scaffold Bracket is designed for convenience in residential or commercial roofing projects. They provide a safe and convenient walkway for the erection of roof trusses, plywood, shingles, fascia, gutters, and under-eave covering. These brackets are installed over wall sheathing just below the eave height on one or all four sides of a structure.
For enhanced versatility, the #12020 Plate Hanger can be used to hook the scaffold bracket over the plate instead of using the safety bolt and clip. When using the Plate Hanger, simply hook it over the plate to secure the scaffold bracket in place.
The 12048 scaffold brackets also include a 3/16 in. sway brace for right or left-hand use and a 5/8 in. safety bolt and clip. For installation, place scaffold brackets no more than 8 ft. apart on a sound stud. Drive a nail into the stud at the bottom of each bracket. Install the Safety "J" Bolt and Clip on each scaffold bracket by drilling a 5/8 in. hole on the side of the stud in line with the hole in the vertical bracket member. Insert the safety bolt through the 5/8 in. hole from inside the building, place the J Bolt hook around the stud, and secure the clip on the other end, ensuring it laps over the vertical member. Finally, fasten the nut to pull the vertical member tightly against the outside wall.
